Van, pick-up or large trailer visits

You can make a new booking for a van, pick-up or large trailer, or change an existing booking below.

Staff regularly check vehicles visiting our sites. They may ask you about the waste you are bringing in.

For everyone's safety, we do not tolerate violence, aggression, threats or harassment towards staff or other site users..

Anyone who behaves in this way will no longer be allowed to use this service.

Please arrive within your 30-minute time slot. If you are late, you may be asked to book for another time. If you arrive early, you will be asked to come back at the correct time.

Change a van / pick-up / large trailer booking

You must make a van booking for these vehicles:

  • Any van
  • Any pick-up
  • Large trailers with a load bed area greater than 6ft x 4ft
  • Modified minibuses, cars and camper vans where seats or furniture have been removed to create load space

Van, pick-up and large trailer restrictions:

  • Vans, pick-ups and large trailers can visit once visit per day.
  • The maximum gross vehicle weight is 3.5 tonnes. Vehicles over this weight will not be allowed access.
  • If your van or pick-up is pulling a trailer, your waste must be either in the vehicle or in the trailer, not both.
  • If you hire a van from a rental company, enter HIREVAN in the registration field. Bring proof of your rental agreement with you.
  • If you borrow a vehicle, such as from a friend or relative, you must enter the registration number before you visit.
  • You may be refused entry if the vehicle registration number is wrong or you cannot show a valid rental agreement from a hire company.
