Materials Recovery Facility
If your recycling is co-mingled at kerbside (materials are mixed in one container) your recycling will go to a MRF (materials recovery facility)
Find out more about how recycling is separated here. Depending on which MRF your waste goes to and what is in your comingled bin the process will differ slightly.
Your recycling is then reborn and is used to make new items.
