When planning your Secret Santa, why not suggest that Secret Santa goes second hand? Shopping at charity shops second hand stores or online second hand sites can be a great way to save money and reduce your impact on the climate. Just make sure you suggest it when planning so everyone is on board.

Themed Secret Santa

What about adding a theme to your Secret Santa so you know everyone will be getting a gift they will use. Something like coffee mugs or travel mugs (these are easy to get second hand), stationary or anything edible.

Donate to charity

Have you thought about donating the money that would be spent on Secret Santa to a charity instead? This is a great way to reduce the amount of gifts given and the likelihood of waste being generated. You could each donate to a different charity on behalf of your recipient, or collate the funds and donate on behalf of everyone.
