Visitors to all Household Recycling Centres are required to prebook their visit in order to gain access to these sites. Social distancing is required on site, and in order to minimise queues and waiting times the number of booking slots available is limited. For more information click here.

If you have suspected or confirmed Coronavirus and are self-isolating, you need to double bag your used tissues and disposable cleaning cloths and wait 72 hours before putting it out for collection. For more information visit our page here.

Loan kits

Why not borrow one of our loan kits for a fun and interactive way to teach children about recycling:

  • A papermaking kit - you just need to make your own pulp following the instructions)
  • A waste audit kit - this will enable you to safely investigate a day's worth of rubbish, weigh it, and record your data
