Van or large trailer visits

You can make a new booking for a van, pick-up or large trailer, or amend an existing booking, below.

  • Please be aware that staff regularly check vehicles visiting our sites and you may be asked about the waste you are bringing in.
  • For everyone's safety, we operate a zero-tolerance policy to violence, aggression, threatening behaviour or harassment towards staff or other site users. Any persons responsible for this kind of behaviour will no longer be permitted to use this service.

Please arrive within your 30-minute time slot. If you are late, you may be asked to book for another time. Those arriving early for their appointment will be asked to return at the correct time.

Amend a van / large trailer booking

Van bookings must be made for commercial type vehicles which include:

  • Any van
  • Any pick-up
  • Large trailers with a load bed greater than 6ft x 4ft
  • Modified mini-buses, cars and camper vans where the seats/furniture has been removed to create a load space

Van, pick-up and large trailer restrictions:

  • Vans, pick-ups and large trailers are restricted to one visit per day
  • The maximum acceptable gross vehicle weight is 3.5 tonnes. No vehicles over this size will be permitted access
  • If you are bringing a van or pick-up pulling a trailer (of whatever size) then the waste must be in either the van/pick-up or in the trailer (so not in both)
  • If you are hiring a van from an official rental company, use HIREVAN in the registration field and remember to bring proof of your rental agreement with you
  • If borrowing a vehicle (such as from a friend/relative etc) you must enter the registration number before you visit
  • Any vehicle with an incorrect registration number or anyone not able to produce a valid rental agreement from a hire company may be refused entry
