Everyone visiting the Household Recycling Centres are required to pre-book their visit.
This is to minimise queues and congestion on site and to help keep everybody safe.
Please note: as of 1st April 2023 Gloucestershire HRC's ceased collecting vehicle tyres for disposal. Please make arrangements for suitable disposal with an authorised tyre fitter, or tyre disposal company. Bicycle tyres continue to be accepted.
The Recycling Centre at Swindon Road, Cheltenham is operated independently by Cheltenham Borough Council: Swindon Road Recycling Centre. This is available to any residents of Cheltenham Borough Council and they may ask your postcode as proof you live within the Borough.
Gloucestershire and Warwickshire county councils have an agreement which allows Gloucestershire residents to use the Household Recycling Centre at Shipston-on-Stour. However, this site is only accepting passenger cars without trailers at the moment due to restricted re-opening. Gloucestershire residents wishing to use a trailer should access a Gloucestershire Household Recycling Centre such as Fosse Cross or Wingmoor Farm.
