This is to minimise queues and congestion on site and to help keep everybody safe.

Amber warning for hot weather from Wednesday 10th August at the HRC's

We are monitoring the weather forecasts for this week and we may need to close our HRCs early afternoon if temperatures are too high for the site staff to safely operate in, so we advise you make your booking as early in the day as possible.  We will update any changes here and on Gloucestershire County Council social media as soon as possible.

What happens to it?

Glass bottles are bulked up and sent for recycling at a facility in West Yorkshire. The colours are separated and processed into cullet, ready to be recycled into glass food packaging products.
