What happens to them?

At Wastecare's facility the pods are shredded to extract the aluminium, plastic and coffee grounds. They are then sent to:

Aluminium

The aluminium is transported and processed at Swan Alloy in Swansea, Wales.

Plastic

The plastic is transported and processed at Meplas Ltd in Lincolnshire.

Coffee Grounds

The coffee grounds are sent for anaerobic digestion at GWE Biogas Ltd in Yorkshire.

End market
