Where is it taken?

URM, Knottingley

What happens to it?

The flat glass is pre-treated at URM before going on for further processing at a facility based in Doncaster. The resulting furnace-ready cullet is then sold to a local packaging manufacturer in Doncaster who manufacture new glass bottles and jars from the recycled material.
